Home for Christmas

Home for Christmas Watercolor on Paper

This painting is a personal reflection on loss and love during the holidays. Set against the backdrop of my husband’s childhood home in Passekeag, NB, the scene features two specific symbols of comfort: the family’s traditional peace sign lights, and a snowman with an orange scarf. The snowman is a dedication to my late mother-in-law, who died on Christmas Eve 2019. It serves as a gentle reminder that those we love are always "home" with us for Christmas.
